Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-20

This Privacy Policy explains how the Nasaat Media application (“App”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the App on Android devices.

We respect your privacy. This document also describes how the App processes Health Data, including step count.

1) What Data We Collect and Receive

Below are categories of data the App may collect or receive, and how they are used. By using the App, you agree to the processing of data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1.1) Health Data — step count (Android)

The App uses Health Data to power the step counter feature and “productiveness” (for example, displaying step count by date). Health Data includes step count (steps for a given day).

We obtain and/or collect Health Data in the following situations:

How we use Health Data: to display step count, run the step calendar, and provide personalized productivity-related features.

Sharing with third parties: We do not use Health Data for advertising and do not sell Health Data. Counted/synchronized steps are used to operate the App. In connection with our infrastructure (for example, analytics), we may send only aggregated/service events, and we do not share your health data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

1.2) Location Data

The App may request access to precise location (GPS) for map and nearby places features (for example, mosques/markets), and for distance calculations/navigation within the App.

1.3) Device and Technical Information

1.4) Identifiers and Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect analytics events. For some events, a locally generated device identifier (device UUID) may be used, along with event parameters (for example, screen/action names).

1.5) Account Credentials and Sign-in (Android)

Some extended features may require account sign-in.

On Android, users may sign in using credentials (for example, phone number and password) obtained after registering on our website. During authentication, the App may also use a device identifier and stores an authentication token on the device after successful login. We do not store your password on the device; the password is used for authentication during sign-in.

Additionally, users may choose Google sign-in to store and restore their account progress (for example, audio progress and kaza prayer progress). In this case, the App requests access to basic profile information (such as email) from Google, and then sends the authentication information to our backend for verification and account session creation.

1.6) User Reviews, Ratings, and Comments

If you submit a review/rating/comment for a place or a market, the App sends this content to our backend for moderation and display. This may include your rating, comment text, and username, as well as a unique device identifier (device_id) and a user hash (user_hash) used to associate submissions.

1.7) Photo Uploads

If you add photos for places or markets, the App compresses the images and uploads them to a third-party image hosting service (imgbb) to obtain image URLs. The App then sends those image URLs to our backend.

1.8) Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App may use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications. This may include receiving a device push token and subscribing to certain topics.

1.9) Extended Features Provided Through Our Website

The extended features available in the App correspond to features offered on our website. If you have web-version credentials, you can sign in on Android to access those extended features.

2) How We Use Data

3) With Whom We May Share Data

We may share data only with service providers that help us provide the App:

We do not sell your data. Health Data is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties for marketing.

4) Data Retention

Step count (steps by date) used for the step counter may be stored locally on the device (for example, in local database/settings) to support calendar functionality and display of history.

Notes and other user-generated content that you create in the App may be stored locally on your device (for example, in the app database).

Account-synchronized progress (for example, audio progress and kaza prayer progress) may be stored on our servers until you delete your account. User reviews/ratings/comments and uploaded image URLs may also be stored on our servers for display of content.

5) Security

We implement reasonable organizational and technical measures designed to protect data from unauthorized access and misuse.

6) Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your device and permissions, you may: disable access to Health Data (step count), disable/limit Location access, disable notifications, and uninstall the App, which typically removes locally stored data.
